Auburn, a Visionary City

Auburn is a GMA 2021 Georgia Visionary City. Recent planning and development efforts in Downtown Auburn resulted in the designation of 2021 Visionary City. The Visionary City Award comes from the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) and Georgia Trend. It “honors cities that have created positive community change through effective civic engagement and collaboration.” We are pleased to see this client’s work and that of our partner, TSW, recognized.

Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative (LCI)

In 2018, KB Advisory Group (KB) created a Market Study for Define Our Auburn, An LCI Study. The firm performed a real estate market overview and opportunity analysis supporting the LCI Study. KB’s Market Study guides the scale of Downtown development. Our analysts’ assessment looks at the potential for additional housing, retail, and commercial activity in Downtown Auburn. Demographic profiles help determine retail spending patterns, the potential for more, and the recommended mix of specialty retails, food, entertainment, and other uses.

KB’s work also estimates the potential demand for and identifies suggested sites for future housing development. The findings and recommendations help inform the Downtown Master Plan developed by Atlanta-based TSW in conjunction with our Market Study for Define Our Auburn, An LCI Study. KB’s final report design for Auburn allows leadership to share the analysis with prospective developers, retailers, and investors as the city implements its long-range vision for Downtown.
