15 Jan New Team Members and Promotions!
KB Advisory Group welcomes Jaycee Shin, Kelsi Broderick, and Nick Albrinck to the team!
Jaycee is re-joining the team as a Consultant. Jaycee began as an Analyst Intern at KB Advisory Group and is a recent graduate of Georgia Tech’s Master’s in City and Regional Planning program, where she attended as a Fulbright Scholar. During her time at Georgia Tech, her team received an Honorable Mention in the 2025 ULI Hines Competition. She also worked with the Housing and Urban Policy Lab, analyzing the impacts of institutional investors on housing markets and communities across Georgia. Prior to graduate school, Jaycee worked on the Macroeconomic Team at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), where she studied strategies to better integrate climate-induced loss and damage into National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). Originally from South Korea, Jaycee earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Interior and Environmental Design and Global Studies from Pusan National University. She is especially interested in working at the intersection of the built environment, economic development, sustainability, and the policy frameworks that support them. Outside of work, Jaycee enjoys experimenting with new cooking techniques, spending time with her foster dog, and traveling.
We are excited to have Jaycee re-join the team!
Kelsi is joining the team as an Analyst. Kelsi grew up in Newnan, Georgia and has called Atlanta home for the past 8 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy from Georgia State University in 2023. Kelsi recently earned a Master of Science in Public Policy degree from Georgia Tech, with a concentration in Energy and Environmental Policy. When asked why she chose to pursue a graduate degree, she said, “I always knew I wanted to pursue an advanced degree at Georgia Tech to gain a specialization in my field. I became interested in environmental policy during undergrad, and I wanted to further explore how the government works to address issues like climate change.” We also asked her why she chose to work for KB and her response was, “I’ve heard so many great things about KB from previous interns. I’m very excited to gain experience in the planning field while integrating the knowledge I’ve gained from my policy degrees. I especially admire the work that KB does with ARC’s Livable Centers Initiative, and I’m excited to see firsthand how economic development planning can aid in creating walkable, mixed-use communities.”
Kelsi’s prior experience includes working with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), Fulton County Government, and the Center for Civic Innovation. When not at work, Kelsi enjoys hiking, bouldering, and going to concerts.
Welcome Kelsi!
And our newest addition to the KB team is Nick, who will be joining us as a Spring Intern. Nick is from Cincinnati, Ohio and is currently pursuing his Masters in City and Regional Planning at Georgia Tech where he is specializing in Environment, Climate, & Design. He is also serving as the GT Student Planning Association (SPA) Sustainability Chair. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Economics from Notre Dame in 2023. Before starting graduate school, Nick was working with JLL as a Project Manager in Cincinnati. When asked why he chose to pursue a graduate degree, he said, “I chose to come back to graduate school to study further how the built environment affects the lived experiences of its residents. I was particularly interested in how to better structure our development patterns and behaviors to mitigate and protect against climate impacts and affordability challenges.” He also said he chose to apply for an internship with KB for several reasons: “the first being the high praise of current employees and past interns who described the ample growth and learning opportunities they have experienced while working at KB. I was also drawn to the dynamics of working with a small team and the broad range of experiences it provides. Finally, I am excited to learn and expand my skills in market research, economic impact analysis, and housing policy.”
When not at work, Nick’s latest favorite hobby has been running.
Welcome Nick!
