22 May Join Us in a Warm Welcome to Our Summer Intern Analysts!
Anthony Martinez, Vincent Parisi, and Jaycee Shin have joined KB Advisory Group as 2025 Summer Intern Analysts!
Anthony Martinez
Anthony just finished his first graduate semester at Georgia Tech where he is pursuing a dual Master’s in Public Policy and City & Regional Planning – specializing in Energy Policy and Environmental Planning. His other interests include urban energy, hazard mitigation, affordable housing, and community development.
Anthony’s experience includes working as a Radiology Assistant for Kaiser Permanente, a Field Study Intern for Water UCI (the interdisciplinary center in the School of Social Ecology at UC Irvine), a Project Assistant for AM Martinez Consulting Services, a ZIMBY Volunteer Lead for YIMBY Action, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) at Georgia Tech.
When asked what made him choose to come back to graduate school, he says he wanted “a career change and to pursue a field closer to my undergrad degree. I am eager to develop new skills and understand the nuances of the real estate development process. In the future, I’d like to apply my knowledge to developing environmental-hazard resilient communities.” Anthony has previously received B.A. in Social Ecology (Urban Studies) from UC Irvine.
Vincent Parisi
Vincent has also just finished his first graduate semester at Georgia Tech. He is pursuing a Master’s in City & Regional Planning where he is specializing in Economic Development.
Vincent’s experience includes working as a Development Analyst for Restoration St. Louis, AmeriCorps member for Chicago HOPES for Kids, Team Lead for ANCHOR (a finalist team for the 2025 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hines Student Competition), a Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Fellow for the U.S. DOT Federal Highway Administration, and a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) for Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute.
When asked what made him choose to come back to graduate school, he says his “real estate development experience exposed me to land use regulations and the challenge of financing housing projects. While living in St. Louis, I also got involved in community service that highlighted stark spatial disparities in income and opportunity across U.S. cities. I saw similar patterns in Chicago and wanted to learn how to make our cities more affordable, dynamic, and thriving places.” Vincent has previously received B.A. in Economics from Saint John’s University.
Jaycee Shin
As a Fulbright Graduate Scholar from South Korea, Jaycee just completed her Master’s in City & Regional Planning at Georgia Tech where she specialized in Environmental and Health Planning.
Jaycee’s experience includes working as a Climate Action and Inclusive Development Intern for the Global Green Growth Institute, an Energy & Sustainability Intern for Fulton County Government, and a Research Assistant for the Housing and Urban Policy (HUP) Lab at Georgia Tech. She has also been part of spectaCLE, a team for the 2025 ULI Hines Student Competition that earned an Honorable Mention.
When asked what made her choose to come back to graduate school, she says that “[a]fter working on national adaptation and climate frameworks, I wanted to gain a more grounded, city-level perspective to drive effective, locally scaled solutions. Receiving a Fulbright scholarship also played a key role in my decision to pursue graduate school.” Jaycee has previously received dual B.S. in Interior & Environmental Design and Global Studies from Pusan National University.
Working with the KB team
By working with us, our summer intern analysts hope: to get hands-on with the consulting side of the planning profession; expand their experience in applied economic development, housing, and redevelopment finance; see the connections between policy, development, and planning. We are excited to have them join the team!
